Knowing no limits is a lot easier said than done. Especially if you’re like me and have the tendency to start something new going 1000 miles an hour only to get tired, bored, or even hopeless all too quickly. Let’s just forget about all the network marketing businesses we’ve heard of and tried and maybe even succeeded with at first and then failed. Let’s just think about what we want to be in our futures instead of how we should get there.
What does your future self look like? I want to look like a very happily married woman with three kids and a rockin’ body. I want to feel like the luckiest person alive and have total peace on the inside because I know that I love myself just as I am, that my family and friends love and support me, and that financial struggles and debt will be a thing of the distant past.
What does your future home look like? Our home will be perfectly suited to our family. I’ll have the kitchen of my dreams with dark wood cabinets, lots of counter space, including an island, and granite tops; although Greg does most of the cooking, I can still benefit from an aesthetically pleasing space. Each of our children will have their own room filled with their favorite colors and characters. I’ll have a home office that doubles as my workout space, probably filled with yoga type stuff and Hello Kitty. Greg will have his own art studio with his huge light tables and his hounds keeping him company as he churns his creative juices. And don’t even get me started on our sanctuary master suite and jack&jill bathrooms the kids share.
Where does your future self travel? Since finances won’t be an issue, when the kids are on their long breaks from school, our family will travel to Israel and across Europe and other countries like Greece and Morocco. On their shorter breaks we’ll travel around the country to places like the Grand Canyon and museums in Washington D.C. And of course Greg and I will have our own vacation time (the beauty of having grandparents who love visits from their grandchildren). Little weekend getaway trips with our best friends are also in our future, we can’t forget those. We’d just have to take turns staying home with the kids and alternate those best friend getaway trips is all.
What does your future self do on a daily, weekly, monthly bases? I will be encouraging, motivating, mentoring, and helping others break free from their torturous pasts and financial burdens. Reaching people through this website, sharing my experience and my poems are just the tip of the iceberg. Aside from my poems, I’ll be working with my editor or other publications and promotions. And I can’t wait to have women come over to relax and enjoy my Zen Den in our future home; it will be a safe place where we can heal and learn and grow together.
So, what are your dreams? This is the most detailed I’ve ever been, honestly I kind of surprised myself. Scribbling down a to-do list on a post-it note or pasting photos up on a vision board just isn’t the same as writing it all down and painting a picture. I love the picture I painted and I pray that HaShem will supply me with the canvas and all the colors needed to bring it into existence. Don’t be afraid to dream big. Write it down, make a plan, and go for it!
Until next time…
